NOVEMBER BOOK RECOMMENDATION

As we get closer to the holidays, the hustle and the bustle of the season, I’d like to start my book recommendations by offering something we all can work on giving and use in our daily lives: Love.

Love Does by Bob Goff – Bob tells such incredible stories from his life with so much ease and modesty and in such a whimsical and amusing way!  He illustrates love through his actions and thoughtfulness every step of the way while inspiring others (hopefully all of us) to live out an extraordinary life!

Pachinko  by Mim Jin Lee – This is a deeply moving story of a Korean family who escapes to Japan to avoid starvation during the time of the Japanese occupation of Korea.  The Koreans suffer persecution, loss, poverty, racism and abuse however illustrating tremendous tenacity and perseverance during this time.  It is a culturally insightful and a historically polished novel which I learned much from about the Japanese and Korean cultures.

Failing Forward  by John C Maxwell – This book provides practical steps and application on how to learn from our mistakes; but not only.  Maxwell wants you to see your mistakes as the necessary failures to propel you forward.  If you are not making them, you are not growing.  I found this book to be very inspirational and encouraging.

Atomic Habits by James Clear – This easy to read, easy to understand, and easy to apply handbook will change the way you live your daily life.  Broken down into six sections, the book allows you to master each step, while developing new skills in the process.  You will become a master at breaking bad old habits, while building good new ones.

I hope you will find one or more of these books helpful, intriguing and interesting!

I would love to hear your feedback!!
